Good Things Come to Those Who Wait

It is now almost 8:00 p.m. and the thing I have waited for all day has finally happened. The plumber is here. A mere 11 hours after I called. I guess everyone's plumbing problem is an emergency though.

I just really wanted

a shower

and a nap

to get the groceries for the week bought.

and to run to the carpet store.

In related news...

The plumber's assistant just knocked on the door, asked to be shown to the water heater, looked me straight in the eye and said,

"We crawled all the way up under there and there's water shooting everywhere!"

Uh, yeah.

That's what I told your boss when I called ...
